Today we learned that when adding a vowel suffix to a vowel-consonant-e word you have to drop the e and add the suffix. But, if you are adding a consonant suffix to a vowel-consonant-e word, you can just add the suffix without touching the e. For example, if the word is tape and we want to add the vowel suffix of -ing, we have to drop the e and -ing. Tape--taping.
